you could always bypass the neutral safety switch.i think its nice not having one.

for all of you guys who did a 5 speed swap, how much was it for you? |

Actually, it's easy to say... much harder to do. Unbolt and remove auto tranny (Enjoy that if you've never...) Bolt up 5 speed <-- make sure your flywheel, clutch, bearings ok <-- make sure you have a 5 speed drive shaft too Remove and replace brake pedal to a 5 speed version or be ghetto and cut Cut hole/drill in firewall for clutch placement / run lines Rewire neutral safety switch etc etc... Theres a lot of odds and ends in between, knock yourself out. Remember, it always costs more to fix your mistakes. Don't forget the ever important: 43. try to use automatic trans crossmember 44. post thread asking why it won't work 45. source manual crossmember, throw auto in trash |

ok so i've been talking to d1S13 for the 5speed swap.
he says he has everything i need for the swap. just to double check, these are the parts that people said i need on threads i found on the swap: S14 Manual Transmission Shifter Release Bearing Clutch kit (clutch, throwout bearing, pressure plate, alignment tool) Flywheel from a m/t m/t mounting plate Flywheel Blots Clutch Pedal Brake Pedal from m/t car Clutch master cylinder w/ reservoir Clutch slave cylinder Clutch hydraulic lines (Main line, bleeder line, rubber line to slave cylinder) Drive shaft front and rear section Adapter bolts & nuts for mounting crossmember to 5 speed (2) Reverse light sensor, neutral position sensor, 5th gear sensor (on side of 5 speed) lower shift boot and plate upper shift boot and finisher plate 5 speed crossmember 5 speed ECU s14 bellhousing bolts clutch fork MT pilot bushing if there's any other parts that i'm missing, please let me know and it would be gladly appreciated. thank you. |

new update on my car.
